The Pacific States/British Columbia Oil Spill Task Force's 2013 Annual Meeting

The Pacific States/B.C. Oil Spill Task Force's Annual meeting Photo:Seattle Central Library by architect Rem Koolhaas will take place at the downtown Seattle Public Library on Wednesday, September 25th from 8:00-5:00. This year's theme is "Emerging Issues in West Coast Spill Prevention, Preparedness and Response". The Annual Meeting offers an opportunity for the Task Force members to update stakeholders, agencies and the public on activities the Task Force is engaged with in spill prevention, preparedness and response. This year's topics include: changes in fuel transportation across the region; characteristics of emerging fuels; arctic spill prevention; and risk assessments. There are numerous hotels and restaurants nearby, and parking is available at the library for a daily fee.

Driving from the north via southbound I-5

  • Take I-5 exit 165B at Union Street.
  • Follow Union three blocks west to Fifth Avenue.
  • Turn left on Fifth and go south three blocks to Spring Street.
  • The library is on the right.

Driving from the south via northbound I-5

  • Take I-5 exit 165 at Seneca Street.
  • Follow Seneca Street one block west.
  • Turn left on Fifth Avenue and go south one block to Spring Street.
  • The library is on the right.

Driving from the east via I-90

  • When I-90 ends, take the ramp toward northbound I-5.
  • Take the second exit at Madison Street.
  • Turn left on Madison Street and go west two blocks to Fifth Avenue.
  • The library is on the right.
